dreams.

There’s a fault in our dreams
no one knows about
There’s a price on our dreams
no once warns us about

There’s a fault in dreaming
a huge one we’ve always failed to foresee
We believe that once we take it
we’ll stay in it to live

There’s a reason why every story
every movie that exists
has a ending line so precise
to which only fools resist

Apparently to dream
you must be on a bliss
high on an expectation so big
you don’t even realize when you crush back on your feet.

To dream, it seems
to be the same as any death wish
so to spend a lifetime waiting
only to be gone in a second so split.

There’s a fault in every dream:
we don’t see it as it is.
Who do we call ourselves to believe
that we can bring to life what doesn’t exist?

How can we dare to dream
if we don’t know what it means
when it’s real we’ve reached a dead end.
For a life to be given there’s a life to be paid.
