I’m sorry every song’s about you

The air you breathe is still the one that fills me up too
the tears you cry flow down the rivers I watch and meditate to
your scent lingers on my freshly washed tights
your voice is louder when the wind blows on my hair at nights
and your hands clasp mine gently when I shower in warm water
while you press your chest against mine with your heavy humid weather
when I play music you arrange and shuffle each song
depending on the traffic we both did not foresee
making it your life’s work not to bore me easily
I never go out without your sweater and my necklace still rocks your wrist

I have no fingerprints or pictures
there are no tracks to mark
except how my eyes changed their color after you held them so tight
And you go on around daily
ride your bike and watch the world
but I think I’m sometimes waiting on your bed’s side curled
for you to come home tired sweaty
with a mess where there’s your hair
And in my scariest nights I think there are some days
the sunrise watches you hold that pillow and
for maybe half a second you’re smelling my perfume
but only of course if you remember I assume

Days go on and we both move
we’re always moving back and to
to the store or to the office
running late
to our story or our lost fate
I go on and check it out and while I’m leaving I feel your hazy blue
and that will always be the place I will forever meet you too.
