She sat there Searching
for the stars through a patched up sky
I could feel her colors
Bursting out her realm.
Like a firework cart too little too late
Her eyes were clouded
With black water A smile kept cracking
over a fever she met
so long ago that's called a friend.
I saw her questions and wondered how
after so much battles her hands were not so harsh
Her eyes gleamed bright under those mean scars
I saw her screaming back At a mirror she built from scratch
"If you want a fight you'll have to turn off that light"
Say what you need to say
And break what you need to break
all that's ever happened has been yours to take
Burn all you need to burn
And turn all you need to turn
You've learnt to take your lessons while sleeping soundly on your bed.
